The Illustrated Woman is J.R. Rhodes first book to be published. The book tells the fictional tale of orphaned, Clara Johnson, who was perceived as a witch by the town’s people and how her fate was intertwined with those of the Martin family. The attack that William Martin committed against her comes back to haunt his family for generations to come. The book follows the lives of his descendants as they bear the weight of William’s actions and the curse placed on them.

J.R. Rhodes is an American author born and raised in Kentucky, United States of America. Rhodes served as an Electricians Mate in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era and after eight and a half years received an Honorable Discharge. He retired from the commercial nuclear industry and continued his writing journey ever since.
